Today, the ability for successful definition and management of projects has become essential for the different types of organisations. The project is a tool for achieving certain objectives of the organisation set out in its strategy. The sustainable development of the organisation through projects in the context of change is related to focusing on the business perspective for obtaining better results. The application of a number of strategic instruments as a strategic approach for project selection, the strategic planning and the project evaluation can guarantee the successful development and implementation of the projects. These circumstances necessitate examination and analysis of the link between the management of the project portfolio and the organisation’s business strategy.
